Trouble shooting your Elle TENS Machine

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the TENS machine.

Please ensure you have followed the instruction manual that is specific for your device (manuals have been linked at the bottom of this page).

The MOST COMMON ISSUE our customers face is that they only trial one electrode pad connected to one lead and place this on their skin. Some of the instruction manuals state to only use one lead wire with two electrodes, but we have found this issue is often resolved when ALL items are securely connected.

 

Check the operation of your TENS by ensuring:

★ All 4 electrode pads are connected to the two lead wires.

★ All 4 electrode pads must be properly adhered to your skin.

 

Prior to 37 weeks of pregnancy practice on your forearm or a birth partner.

From 37 weeks of pregnancy, you can practice using the electrodes on your back.

Your electrode pads are reusable and when well kept* they can be re used 20-30 times! * Carefully place them back on their clear film and aim to keep them clean and dry.

 

Another issue customers face is that the electrode lead jacks (the black connection point of the lead) are not pushed far enough into the device.

Other Troubleshooting Questions

★ Why does the pulse sensation not appear to be as strong after you have used the Elle TENS for a while? 

Increase the intensity, you may have become acclimatised to a lower setting.

★ Why does the pulse sensation feel strong but ineffective?

You may need to reposition the electrode pads (don’t forget to switch the Elle TENS off before doing so).
